Introduction
More than a handyman
A quick introduction — who I am, what I do and what drives me.
My name is René Uijttenboogaard. Opgelost! is Dutch for "Problem solved!" — and that, really, says it all. Technology has always fascinated me. I've been drawn to it for as long as I can remember — and perhaps even more than to the technology itself: to solving problems. There's little I find more satisfying than getting something that's broken, crooked or awkward working the way it should again.
That's exactly why I started Opgelost! I genuinely enjoy helping people move forward, and with this handyman business I take care of all those small annoyances you never quite get around to yourself: the window that sticks, the wobbly cabinet, the light that's been out for months. Precisely the kind of jobs many companies no longer turn up for these days — with me, you're in the right place for them.
I only replace something when there's really no other way. Where I can, I'd rather repair: it saves you money, and for me it's a welcome challenge. Often people already have a clear idea of what needs doing — and sometimes, after a few pointed questions, we find an even simpler or cheaper way together. That’s where my strength lies: looking closely, asking the right questions, and thinking along until we’ve found the best solution.
I'm happiest working on the smaller jobs. You don't need to call me for a full renovation — but do you have a list of those odd little things that have been piling up for ages? That's what I enjoy. In fact, feel free to put a whole list together. It saves you money too, as I charge no call-out fee for jobs of two hours or more.
As a fluent, native-level English speaker, I work just as easily with international clients — clear communication, no language barrier.
What drives me is ultimately very simple: the satisfaction of having genuinely helped someone out.
"When I leave, I want the customer to think: glad I called."
